Auto rearview mirrors, which are located on either side of the front of the vehicle as well as inside,are used to assist the driver’s field of vision. By expanding the vision, the mirrors play the role of “the second eye”, and they are an important safety feature when driving. Military vehicles require the added advantage of blast-proof mirrors to effectively ensure that the mirrors stay intact. Strong shock waves can easily break the glass and mirrors, obstructing the drivers view for further maneuvers. Our Migard TM Anti Blast Mirror has the added support of a stainless steel bracket. When tested with 600 155mm artillery, our mirror remained intact, while only the bracket was damaged. The continuous impact shock wave can bear 135 kpa.
